About

Small image jobs should feel small.

ImageCarpenter is built around a simple idea: compressing a photo, changing its format or fixing its dimensions should not require a giant editor, an account or a maze of screens.

What ImageCarpenter focuses on

The site concentrates on practical image workflows: JPG, PNG and WebP compression, exact resizing, format conversion and common metadata cleanup. QR-code and signature utilities are available too, but the main workshop is image processing.

How the image tools work

For the current image tools, the selected file is sent to the ImageCarpenter server for the requested operation and the processed result is returned for download. The service does not provide a user account or cloud image library. The Privacy page explains this handling in more detail.

Why there are focused pages

Sometimes you want full controls; other times you already know the outcome, such as JPG to WebP, 1080×1080 pixels or a 200 KB JPEG limit. Focused pages use the same core engines with relevant settings prepared in advance, while still explaining the tradeoffs for that specific task.

What the project avoids

ImageCarpenter does not claim that every conversion makes a file smaller, that every strict size target is physically reachable, or that metadata cleanup changes what is visibly present in a photo. The goal is to make the result understandable rather than oversell what the tool can do.
