This tool is for privacy and cleanup. It keeps the original image format and strips common embedded metadata by default.
Why remove image metadata?
Photos can contain hidden information such as camera details, capture settings, timestamps, editing information and, when recorded by the device, GPS coordinates. Removing metadata can reduce the amount of background information attached to a file before sharing it publicly.
What stays the same?
The visible image remains in the same format: JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG and WebP stays WebP. The tool normalizes visible orientation before output so removing EXIF orientation does not unexpectedly rotate a phone photo.
