JPG · PNG · WebP · maximum 20 MB
This tool is for privacy and cleanup. It keeps the original image format and strips common embedded metadata by default.
A clean-copy workflow
Rather than trying to edit individual metadata fields, ImageCarpenter writes a new visual copy and omits common source metadata. This keeps the workflow predictable across supported formats.
Same format in, same format out
JPG remains JPG, PNG remains PNG and WebP remains WebP. The engine also normalizes orientation so a photo does not unexpectedly rotate after EXIF is removed.
What this is not
Metadata removal is not steganography detection, forensic sanitization or guaranteed removal of every possible proprietary payload. It is designed for common web image metadata.
Questions about strip image metadata
What metadata types are targeted?
The workflow is designed to remove common EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC and profile metadata that would otherwise be carried by an image file.
Can I use it on animated images?
The current engine is designed for single-frame JPG, PNG and WebP files.
This page is a focused preset of the same ImageCarpenter metadata engine used by the main tools. It is not a separate upload service.
