This tool is for privacy and cleanup. It keeps the original image format and strips common embedded metadata by default.
Clean JPEG metadata
JPEG photos commonly carry EXIF fields from phones, cameras and editing software. The ImageCarpenter metadata engine creates a fresh JPEG rather than copying those source fields forward.
Orientation is normalized
Many phone photos rely on EXIF orientation to display upright. The engine applies that orientation to the pixels before producing the cleaned JPEG so removing EXIF does not leave the photo sideways.
A new file, not an edit to your source
The original JPG on your device is not modified. Download and share the cleaned copy while keeping the original if you still need its camera or capture information.
