Make a signature image that fits the job

Signature image size and DPI

Pixel dimensions describe the actual number of pixels in the downloaded image. Physical units use DPI to calculate those pixels. For example, 3 × 1 inches at 300 DPI produces a 900 × 300 pixel image. There is no single universal signature size, so presets are starting points rather than standards.

Transparent PNG or JPG?

PNG is the most practical choice when you need a transparent signature over a document. WebP can also keep transparency. JPG does not support transparency, so ImageCarpenter requires a solid background when JPG is selected.

Image signature vs digital signature

This tool creates an image of a signature. It does not create a certificate-based cryptographic digital signature, verify identity or make claims about legal validity.
