Built for 100 KB upload limits
Forms and portals often reject photos above a fixed file-size limit. This preset uses the same ImageCarpenter JPEG engine, but automatically searches compression quality for a result at or below 100 KB when the image can reasonably reach that size.
Highest quality that fits
The target-size mode tests multiple JPEG quality levels and keeps the best-quality result that satisfies the target. If the source is already below the limit, there is no reason to make it worse.
A file-size target is not always physically possible
Very large, detailed or noisy photos may still exceed a strict limit even at low JPEG quality. If that happens, resize the image dimensions first and then compress again.

Will the result always be below 100 KB?
The tool aims for 100 KB or less, but it does not fabricate a result if the image cannot reach that size within safe quality settings. Reducing dimensions can help.
Does this page resize my image?
