Still too large? Resize first
A multi-megapixel image with lots of fine detail may remain above 1 MB at acceptable quality. Reducing its pixel dimensions is the most effective next step.

Is 1MB the same as 1000KB?
This tool uses 1 MiB as 1024 × 1024 bytes, which is the convention used by many computing systems.
Will image dimensions change?
No. This preset changes JPEG compression quality but leaves width and height alone.
